Judith H. Dern
Judith was baking lemon meringue pies and collecting cookbooks while her sisters collected Barbie dolls. A New England transplant to the West Coast, she joined Allrecipes in 2007, as a member of the recipe editorial team. She has since held various positions on the Brand Marketing and International teams, plus managed Allrecipes’ digital cookbooks production. Also an independent writer, she has written 13 print cookbooks, text for websites, and had bylines in several regional and national magazines.
Carl has a Masters in Gastronomy from Boston University, with an emphasis on wine studies, food history, and French culture and cuisine. He was a Julia Child Scholarship recipient and earned an advanced certification from the Wine & Spirit Educational Trust. He has written restaurant reviews for a variety of publications and was the managing editor of a series of travel guides.
