SEO Appétit: Top Food Search Terms of the Day

Tradition and comfort food dishes inspired recipe searches in the past 24 hours. Dare we attribute the surge in searches for spinach and ricotta lasagna to a TV show? Possibly, since searches soared off the charts. To honor their heritage, and because the Jewish holiday of Purim begins Sunday, February 24, many home cooks were looking for a recipe to make Hamantaschen (Haman’s Hats, named after the evil prime minister of Persia who plotted the death or Persian Jews during ancient biblical times). The small, triangular pastries are with filled with a honey/poppy seed mixture, cooked prunes or apricots, and made as a special treat for the Purim holiday. Chili, soups, and banana-flavored treats rounded out the day’s top searches. Delish!
