We’re back in the groove here with 2013’s first post about the top recipes and videos on Allrecipes.com. With the New Year launched—bring on those lucky black-eyed peas!—home cooks are almost ready to consider everyday cooking. When I looked at last week’s top recipes and search terms, both black-eye peas and lasagna topped the list, along with recipes that rank as favorites for entertaining or easy week night dinners.
Here’s the recap:
The #1 new recipe for the week was My Meatball Lasagna. With some pretty delicious ingredients and a twist on a favorite, this recipe quickly had the most page views, prints, and Recipe Box saves.
- Slow Cooker Spicy Black-Eyed Peas received the largest increase in page views and prints last week

Top Performing Videos (based on week over week positive change)
When it comes to last week’s top videos, home cooks were all about making kid-friendly ice cream—in a plastic bag no less!—and comfort food. Also hard to argue with a video for 2012’s #1 favorite recipe: Down East Maine Pumpkin Bread. This was the top performer in overall video page views.
